So this is going to be a quick update to try to catch up on the 6 months that I have been a blog-slacker!! I started a job with United Airlines in December so we decided it would be best for the kids to go back to school at the semester instead of at the end of the year as we had planned. I am almost through my 6 month probation period with United and will be so happy to have it over with!! I have had to work a lot more hours than I want but at the end of the 6 months I should be able to give up a lot of those shifts!! I am missing my kids terribly!!! I am so happy we did homeschool for the semester. It was amazing to get to spend so much time together and a great experience for them to learn together. I am tempted to pull them out again for a semester sometime to travel the world now that we can fly for free. Need to get our passports first though and save up some traveling funds! Here's what we've been busy with for the past 6 months...
Not Enough Beach time that's for sure!! But here's a few pictures that proves the beach still exists.
The only thing better than burying your feet in the sand is....burying your nose..
Merle and Janice came to Hawaii for their first time in January!! They came for Isaac's 12th birthday and priesthood ordination. It was great to have them here to help celebrate his special occasion. Sure is neat to watch how Isaac has grown up into such a great young man.
We had fun showing Matt's folks around our paradise. We took an overnight trip to the Volcano and stopped at all the cool stops along the way... Waipio Valley..Akaka Falls, Rainbow falls, the lava flow.
For some reason I only have soccer pictures of Olivia but all the kids have been busy with sports the past few months. We took a trip to Oahu for a soccer tournament the end of March. It was fun to take the kids to pearl harbor, the polynesian culture center, BYU-Hawaii the Laie Temple, Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium...for some reason I don't have any pictures....I know I took some on my phone but maybe I didn't get any on the camera...bummer. Dawson has been playing Rugby and has LOVED it. He's a natural little tough guy...luckily it's not tackle yet...only two hand touch.
My parents came in March for a quick visit...again I'm missing photos..the highlight of their quick trip was a TSUNAMI...it was big enough to cause some damage and close the beaches...on the only day we had to go to the beach...so we improvised and stopped at the harbor.. here's a cute video of the kids jumping ...
At the last minute the kids and I decided to go back to the mainland with them to see their new place in Arizona! we loved seeing their new home! Rather than coming home after two days like we planned...I headed back to Hawaii and for work and left the kids!!! They flew alone from LAX to SLC where my sister Tracey picked them up..they spend a couple days in Cache Valley with my brothers Ryan & Scott who then took them to Tracey's for the weekend. She put them on a plane to Denver where my mom met them and Chad picked them all up to take them to his house is Colorado Springs. I flew to Denver from Hawaii and drove to Chads for the night and picked them all up! It was so fun to get to see Chad and Kristi's new place and their beautiful kids. I wish I could have got to see all the family the kids got to see but we're hoping to make a trip in June!! I'm going to have to hunt down some pictures of their trip. They had a BLAST with lots of cousins and were so brave to fly without a grown up!!

I am so glad you updated your blog! It's the only way that I know you are still alive. It looks like you are alive and doing great. I miss you Keri! :)
You are a busy lady! No wonder you haven't had time to blog. It was fun to read your six months in a nutshell. You have a quality family. Reading the names of all the places you went to with Matt's parents made me want to come visit again. Maybe I should get a job with the airlines. :)
Look at me. I found your blog again and put a bookmark on it. Now I know the answers to my questions. Glad you had fun visits from the grandparents.
