We gave our dog "Buster" away a couple of weeks ago. Our new home just wasn't a great place for him and our neighbors brother who lives on a farm wanted him. We were able to convince the kids that he would be much happier on a farm where he could roam to his heart's content. He was a great dog and the kids miss him. In order to get them to agree to finding him a home we told them we'd get another pet...perhaps fish. Well today we surprised them with a baby kitten. She was found in a garage a couple of days ago and needed a home. She is too young and really should be with her mother still. We are bottle feeding her and she seems to be doing very well. We don't know anything about kittens so I guess we will learn quickly! I think the kids settled on "Ocean" for her name. Her eyes are very blue...like the ocean. I don't know who came up with it. The other names they suggested were diamond (olivia), Snowball (Isaac), Scratch (adam) and Trucky (dawson).
She will be an outside cat once she gets bigger. We will make her a home in the garage but for now she is in a cozy box in the living room and all of the kids are having a sleepover with her.
