We spent friday night and all day Saturday at the Hilton Resort nearby. We had an amazing time! We had ocean view rooms and we saw lots n lots of whales from our lanai. It is Whale season here in Hawaii. They come from Alaska to the warm water. Mom and I are going to try to go on a whale tour boat ride sometime in the next week. The Whales are Everywhere right now!
The rooms were beautiful but we spent most of our time at the pools! Can you say AMAZING?
They have some fun water slides, awesome waterfalls, a pool with a beach & sandy bottom, and a lagoon with ocean water that we toured in a paddle boat and saw lots of sea creatures. It was such a relaxing getaway! It felt like we had been away for more than 24 hours. I've decided we are going to have to do it more often! If you ever come to visit us, you have to splurge and spend at least a night at the Hilton Resort!

That resort is gorgeous!! I love seeing whales, I saw a lot when I lived in Alaska, and we saw a lot on our cruise a few weeks ago. That's awesome that they are just right there all winter!
That looks beautiful. Nate keeps asking how long I think you guys are going to stay in Hawaii (mostly he wants to know if you will still be there in 10 years when we take our Hawaii trip). I remind him that this is Matt and Keri we are talking about :), but I can't imagine ever wanting to leave such a gorgeous place!
Hey, that water slide looks just like the one Klint and Kim went down. They have a photo of them going down it. I am sooooo happy for you all. I am glad you had a vacation from your tropical paradise life. Everyone needs a break. I do think you are doing some major photoshop work on your photos. Nothing could look that great at this time of year!
Hmm someday I'll have to celebrate a summer birthday in Hawaii:)
I am so freaking jealous right now!! Oh my gosh, I sure wish that I was there right now. THe cold and snow is really getting old. THe only thing I want to do is sleep! I need a vacation to see my awesome friend, Ker-Dog! I really miss you guys!
