N stuff N junk

N stuff N junk is a quote from some of my oakcrest campers many years ago. All week long they were constantly saying "N stuff N junk" and I've said it for the last 14 years or so. This post just has a bunch of stuff N junk that I've been meaning to put on here.

We have a foster dog named Jakey. Our neighbor passed away about a month ago and we get to be a temporary home for his dog. We are loving having him. He is seriously a really great dog. Here he is playing teatherball with Isaac. He also swings on our rope swing. He gets running so fast and jumps and grabs it with his mouth and flies through the air. Today Olivia came running into the room and said "Mom you'd better grab the video camera because this should be on funniest home videos" (Jakey playing teatherball).

He always stand on the patio table or puts his feet up on the house and stairs at me through the window whenever i'm on the computer. He just likes to be a part of the action.

In addition to a dog moving in, Harry Potter has moved in our home. Isaac started reading the series a couple weeks ago and he's already on the fourth book. He is hooked. We had never even seen a movie but the older boys have now watched the first two and Ike keeps cruising through each book. Adam started drawing the little scar on his forehead everyday for the last week. He reapplied it each day before school if it had washed off. what a nut!
This is the centipede that lived in the garage that was connected to the house that the blackburns live in. This is the centipede that Matt stepped on BAREFOOT when he was hanging the laundry in the garage that was connected to the house that the Blackburns live in. This is the Centepede that lives in the garage and BIT Matt when he stepped on it in the garage that's connected to the house where the Blackburns live... YIKES!! it's the first centepede we've seen at our house and it's HUGE. That is 1 pound butter box we layed next to it to give perspective of just how big it is.
This is a beautiful self portrait of our gorgeous Olivia. She took about 100 random pictures today in the few minutes I let her use the camera. I only saved a couple. (she took the pictures of the Jakey and Ike playing teatherball)

Soccer Soccer Soccer that is what our tues & thurs afternoons and all day Saturday consist of for the next couple of months. Isaac and Olivia are both playing and I am COACHING. yes you read that right...coaching. My friend is over the AYSO league for our city and they were desperate for a coach for Olivia's team. I am pretty clueless when it comes to soccer...I've never played and the kids haven't really played (adam played when he was 6 for a season but that was little little stuff and 3 years ago) Luckily Olivia is still in a pretty young league and there aren't too many rules to know. I have a great dad helping me out and he pretty much does it all. He just wasn't able to commit to be the coach so we put my name down but I would say he is more of the head coach than I am..I'm more like the team organizer...make sure the girls know when the game is and that snacks are provided...the REAL important stuff.
Notice I'm actually wearing slippers (flip flops)to the game. What "REAL" soccer coach wheres flip flops for the game.

Ike is quite the soccer pro. He has never played and most of the kids his age have been playing for 5 or 6 years! He scored 2 goals in his game last week and was stoked! I am just happy he has found a sport besides football to love. football is too much of a time commitment here to play and plus football is so dangerous! He loves Soccer!! yeah!!

How fun about the dog! How long will you have him? And that centipede was gross! Almost as bad as a spider.

a) The Harry Potter scar story cracks me up. Your kids are hilarious.

b) If I found a centipede like that living in my garage, I would have to move.

c) Olivia and Emily could be sisters!

d) Ahhh, soccer. We have 3 kids playing this year. It takes a lot of time, but they love it. I'm sure you are a great coach!
