I can't say enough how wonderful it was to have my Dad and Mom here! Dad came for a week the end of December and took mom home with him. We weren't so happy about the "took mom home" part but we sure loved that he came too. It was fun to show him around our island that we love! We took a couple days to see the other side and volcano National Park.
Our first stop was Akaka Falls (well technically our first stop was Tex's drive in for hot Malasadas...mmmm our favorite) We head a beautiful walk through the jungle to the waterfall.
Okay so the kids actually Ran.
I love my Dad! Thanks for coming to Hawaii Dad and thanks for sharing Mom with us for so long! I love you both!

So that is where we could have gone if it hadn't been for the seashell? :) Nate assures me that it was the lava god that was mad at us, not the king.
