The waves get BIG in the winter. Nothng like Oahu north shore waves but lots bigger than we are use to. The kids have a blast!
I can't say enough how much we LOVED having my mom here. She arrived the end of October and stayed through Jan 4
th. That means we got to have her for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! So lucky. I had to laugh today when Olivia's teacher said she wanted to talk to me about Olivia's homework/reading lately. She said she was doing so great but lately she has
plateaued with her reading and she hasn't been turning in complete homework. I knew immediately what the problem was....Grandma went home! Mom spent lots of time every afternoon with the kids on the their school work and making sure it was all done and done very well. She read every day with Olivia and asked her questions. Guess I need to get my act together and be a better homework mom. Needless to say, we all miss Grandma!
