Matt took an extra day off for his birthday so we took Ben & Lydia camping in Volcano National Park. We had a blast! Here's what livy wrote about it in her school journal.
"Our camping trip was really fun and it was also really cold. I touched the cold rain on the big blue tent. I also smelled the roasting marshmelos but then the fireman came because there was a sign that said:No Fires in Camp. I heard people snoring at night. I also tasted the warm marshmellow before the fireman came. We also saw the bright yellow sun rise."

You've got a real writer in the family! Especially like the part about the fireman showing up.
um ya...the fireman part..that was my fault...they weren't too happy...we put it out right away!
I totally believed the "we didn't see the sign" story from your last camping trip, but it won't fly two times. It reminds me of the time we got kicked out of a campground up Logan Canyon for having a picnic without paying. You were there, right? I'm not just making it up in my memory?
