After 5 months of Matt commuting from Hawaii..haha that sounds funny. Okay so really he only came here every couple of weeks but it sure was nice he had that option and that we were able to see him....he has finally moved from Hawaii! Yes that means he has a new job. He was on a pretty serious hunt for 5 months and finally was offered TWO jobs on the same day! we couldn't believe it...that after so long of waiting we finally had not only one job but TWO..it was a tough decision as one was here in the Spokane area managing a large apartment community and the other was with his former employer AmeriTel Inns in West Jordan Utah managing a Hampton Inn & Suites. The kids and I have settled into Spokane really nicely. We are renting a great 1950's home that is right across the street from the kids schools. They've started soccer and really are just all thriving in their new environment. So it was really tempting to stay in Spokane! But with lots of thought and prayer the Utah job feels like the right option..it's a better job and with a company Matt knows he likes working for in an industry he knows he enjoys. I personally think dealing with 180 apartments would be a huge headache although I know Matt would have excelled at it. We have really enjoyed our 6 months in Spokane. It has been a great experience and if you'd told me 6 months ago that we'd be moving to Utah I would have told you Never! haha funny how life is. We are so grateful for a great job for Matt and we are looking forward to living closer to friends and family in Utah.
