Well I'm not sure I'm ready to divulge this information but you all know we're crazy so we might as well let you in on the latest craziness. We are seriously considering a move to Hawaii. Matt has felt a real need to use his language (Japanese) and now that we've decided that I need to be home with the kids (except for my lunch shift at firehouse once in a while) that puts Matt on the job hunt. We are feeling like it would be silly to take a hotel job just anywhere when we feel like ultimately Hawaii is the place for us...why move twice right? (normally we are all about the moving but I think too many more moves might push the kids over the top). The resorts in Hawaii are HUGE and so he doesn't really have the experience to start in upper management. We are thinking he'll need to start in mid-management maybe a front office manager position or something...and really the odds of them hiring someone from Utah for that type of a position is small...So logic tells us that we should just up and move to Hawaii so he'll be on the island for the job hunt. We plan to sell practically everything (good thing we are not attached to "things") Matt is even ready to sell all of his tools (he's got an enviable collection) and his truck.
In order to make it worth it we'd need to stay on the island for a few years...I know you're all wondering if we have it in us...ha ha. The kids are mostly really excited about the possibility. They are definitely their parent's children.
The big question is...would you come and visit us?
and the biggest question is Do you think we should do it? I saw this nifty way to add a poll so I thought I'd give it a try... Here's you're chance to impact our future...we are going base our choice on the winning vote (Just kidding) But, please take a vote (poll is on the ride side of blog)!

The real question is would you get sick of having us come?!? JK (well, mostly) It would be a great place to live. The cost of living is SUPER high, so that is always something to consider. If you guys do move there try not to mention how great the weather is during my depressing Logan winters, Ok?? Thanks. :-)
I WOULD LOVE TO COME AND VISIT!!! BUT BUT BUT, I Do have to say that I don't think I can vote, I think you should stay here forever but since that is unlikely maybe I will ;) I guess we need to get together before you leave to fast!!!
I would come visit next February when my whole family will be taking a trip there for my parents 50th anniversary. (I guess that is if we still go) There is talk that airfare is going to be outrageous because of gas prices but who knows. I think you guys are great and would love to have you stay around but i also know that whether you stay or whereve you go, you will have some great experiences and have a big impact on many lives. Good luck in the decision process. I wish I had a little more of the risk and adventure side to me to do something like that. This is Larry under Ambers account. : )
Selfishly I want you to stay so we can hang out more often, and selfishly I want you to go so I can have a place to crash for a couple of nights in Hawaii . . . I'm assuming you would want to babysit my kids too and therefore eliminate my hesitation about leaving my kids home while I travel. :)
I don't really have a strong opinion since it is so up to you guys. If anyone could just up and move across the ocean and LOVE it, it is you.
You'll make a good decision.
