We are homeschooling this year for a couple reasons. The first being that I work most nights so when the kids are in school I don't get to see much of them. The 2nd is that it seems like we never have time to explore this amazing place we live. With soccer games every saturday and practices most afternoons, church stuff on Sundays and other evenings and school all day there is just no more time. With homeschooling we are doing a different "field trip" every week. The first day of school just happened to land on Matt's day off so we started out the day with a trip to the beach. We spent a couple beautiful morning hours there and then headed home for school in the afternoon.
How often do you get to see a Hawaiian see turtle (Honu) at school?? I love the extra time we get to spend as a family. It's so fun watching the kids learn and interact together. We will have some great memories from this school year. Next year we'll be ready to go back to public school...I think.
Keri, you really are an amazing lady. I am very excited that you are homeschooling your kids, what an adventure! The camping trip looked like a blast. We are hoping to fit in a camping trip here before the cold weather sets in! Mango looks like a sweetheart!
you can post dorky pictures of yourself all day long...I just love to see you! You are in for quite an adventure this year with the kids all home. It should be very exciting. Can't wait to here all about it!

I'm trying not to be jealous. What a party! An educational party, I'm sure . . . but still a party. I think it is great that you are homeschooling.
BTW, how close were you to that turtle? Were you being a rule breaker? :)
