Lavaman 2022 with Lisa & Ike

Lisa and Isaac and I had so much fun doing Lavaman 2022. Liv and Anna were the best cheerleaders and it was so great to spend time with Ben & Lydia’s fam! 

Isaac literally crushed it, placing 2nd in his age group! Lisa didn’t know how to swim and had never been on a road bike until the year prior. We started with learning to float in the lava pool and many falls on her bike in Downey but she literally kept getting up and doing it again. We took a

trip to Hawaii a few months earlier with sister in laws Jaime and Jen to practice swimming in the ocean and riding part of the bike route. We had the best girls trip! 

Race day was super windy and the water was insane but Lisa has a ton of grit and got it done with a smile on her face! 

The best part of this trip was getting to meet ANNA! I didn’t know at the time but hoped it would be so, that she’d become ANNA BLACKBURN a year later ❤️
