The ride of their life!

Dawson and Matt finally got to take their helicopter ride with Blue Hawaiian!! They both had a permanent smile on their face the entire day! Here's Dawson with his emergency life vest on his waste....ready to go!

We have a friend who works at Blue Hawaiian helicopters so they got to check out one of the helicopters while we waited for theirs to arrive.
Here's they are ready to go! 2 very happy birthday boys! Some sites they saw. below is our little village where we live. The cluster of large buildings in the bottom right corner is the kids school, Waikoloa Elementary. you can see that all around us is pretty much desert. We do have a nice ocean view and mountain view in the village but really we're surrounded by lava rock and brush.

Some beautiful waterfalls and jungle on the North end of the Island. Things you can only see by boat or in the air. There was like 12 in row this close together. Matt could tell you more about the details but since I don't even think he reads this blog, it's unlikely that he would actually write a post!

The 2 cute boys finishing their ride. I think they were more into the mechanics of the helicopter than the scenery but they LOVED IT none the less! Dawson got a DVD of his ride and a t-shirt like what the workers wear. It even says "ground crew" just like theirs. He wore it the next day to school and was very proud! I am so glad They got to go. The other kids were so good to be super excited for Dawson. I'm sure they would have loved to have gone but none of them complained a bit. They were just excited and supportive for Dawson. I'm sure proud of them all! The touched down, safe and sound!

What an amazing experience! Your kids are going to have such great memories of living in Hawaii!

I love that your other kids were so great about him getting to go. I must be doing something wrong . . . my kids complain if someone gets more frosting on a cinnamon roll than they got (happened this morning). :)

Wow, that is soooo cool that they got to do that. They are much braver than I am!! I would be too scared, although those pics look amazing. It is my dream to come over there someday....whether or not I ever will is another thing!
miss and love you guys!
