Cherish Every Minute

Wow! Thought I'd share this great video I got off my friend Amber's blog. I just watched and cried. An incredible reminder to cherish every minute and to allow God to work miracles in our lives...miracles that are not always what we would choose... but beautiful gifts from God that make us into much more than we could ever do on our own.

99 Balloons

I think I cried so much watching it because I have already been thinking a lot this week about what a gift each day with my children is. Tuesday Isaac's teacher sent a note home saying that Maddie's mother had unexpectedly passed away the night before (she was a regular volunteer in their classroom). I don't know the child or the mother but I was heartbroken. I cried for Maddie and for her mom. I can't imagine having to leave my children. Yet somehow with the help of the Lord I know Maddie will be okay. I held my children a little longer that night and have really tried to cherish the little things.

Thanks for the comments...They were touching. It is truly a blessing to have the knowledge that we do and be reminded here and there to cherish that knowledge, isn't it!

You made Nate cry . . . and maybe me a little too. Thanks for making us appreciate our four beautiful, healthy kids a little bit more today!
