Dumpster Digging!
Isaac and I just finished digging through his school's dumpster hoping to find his glasses! He took them off at lunch and put them on his tray.... I'm sure you can guess what happened next. I remember in elementary school that a girl threw her retainer in with her tray and so the lunch crew and girl were looking frantically threw the garbage...unfortunately Isaac didn't say anything when he realized what he did a few minutes later...It would have been nice to have it narrowed to one garbage can but instead there were 10 or so bags in the dumpster by the end of the day when he told me! So after searching through 5 or 6 bags of soupy mess (yes of all days they had soup today...made the bags extra messy!) we still didn't find the glasses! I am seriously considering getting Isaac contacts. His glasses have been a huge struggle from day one... I don't know if they'll fit a 9 year old for contacts but I'm going to find out! Anyway, it's a good thing I'm a good patient mom (most of the time) or he would have gotten a good whipping behind the wood shed (if we had one). He felt bad so that was punishment enough...after all it was an accident. Love you Ike!

Ewwwww! You win the Mom prize of the day. It's amazing what we will go through for our kids, isn't it?
You're my hero. I think I would have called it quits after bag #1. SOUP!#%*@$!
You Win the mom prize of the century, not just the day! I guess it is good to blog these moments so that you can look back and laugh later. I have always admired you but seem to more and more when I hear how great you are to those kids! They sure are lucky! Want any more? Mine were for sale the other day, I am sure that sale will come again soon! ;) jk I love them I just need to remember to have your kind of patience!
