Past Christmases

Matt and I were recalling our 11 Christmases together and he're what we came up with

1997 (our dating Christmas, Matt went home to Oregon for Christmas, He had already purchased a ring (unbeknownst to me) and a few days after he returned he proposed on January 10th, 2008)

1998, Logan, UT. Our first Christmas together, 8 months pregnant in our basement apartment.
(It didn't take us long from dating last Dec, to engaged in January, to married in March to expecting a baby all by the next Christmas).

1999, Saipan, Northern Marianna's Islands with Isaac (almost 1yrs old) We babysat a 12 year old girl for a week while her parents were in Hawaii and so we stayed at their house...it was a LONG week. But we went to the beach Christmas day, that was fun!

2000 Tetonia, Idaho at Teton Mountain View Lodge. Cold and Snowy! Isaac was almost 2, Adam a baby. I woke the boys up at 5 am because I was sooo excited. Adam fell back asleep laying on the floor by the christmas tree. It's funny how things have changed and the kids are getting us up early!

2001 Pocatello, Idaho our first home on Cedar Street (down the street from my Grandpa's) Matt had to go to work after Christmas morning fun so the boys and I went to Downey after he went to work.

2002 Idaho Falls Idaho. We moved into our house the week of Christmas and got a tree on Christmas Eve (atleast it was cheap then), Isaac was almost 4, Adam 2, Olivia a baby.

2003 Pocatello, Idaho in the house I thought we'd stay a long time...ha ha. we probably should have! We went to Oregon for Christmas and got stuck in a snow storm coming home. A 9 hour drive took 36 hours!! We hit road closures and had to stay in a hotel, we got up early when the road opened and then hours later, but just 30 miles from home, they closed the road again and detoured us to the high school in American Falls. We hung out there for 3 hours and they told us we had to stay the night. Just as we were getting our FOUR babies settled into their sleeping bags they suddenly opened the road and we were able to go home! The crazy thing is that my sister Lisa and her family were traveling also and got stranded there too. we got to hang out an extra 3 hours with them than we thought we would. Thankfully her father in law had cash on him and was buying our kids snacks and drinks out of the vending machines. Eventually the locals of American Falls came and opened the cafeteria and cooked for the hundreds of stranded travelers. They were awesome! We learned to not use our last cash on the last minute hotel room we had to get the night before. Wow, I had almst forgotten about that adventure!

2004 Boise, Idaho in our new Green house on Chinkapin. (we also lived in Angels Camp, CA that year) the first of 3 Christmas we'd spend in Boise (but all in different homes).

2005 Boise, ID in our house on Lewisburg (our first flip). I started real estate school the next week and after a whirlwind couple of weeks started my real estate career. It was shortlived but I am so glad I did it. It was a huge blessing for me and great learning experience. I was able to accomplish a dream and then also realize that I could and should put that dream on hold.

2006 Boise, ID in my favorite home of all 2834 Ozark Pl. (Gosh our kids were babies!)

2007 Smithfield, UT We surprised the kids with a new puppy (Koda). It was so exciting and such a fun secret. We all miss her and are happy she has a good home.

2008 Waikoloa, HI We plan to enjoy lots of sunshine and hit the beach on Christmas (crazy how much they've changed in just 2 years from the above picture).

That so sums up your life. That is amazing!

BTW, I used you to comfort Ben the other day. He was really worried that Santa wouldn't be able to come if we don't have snow by Christmas. I told him that Santa was going to go to your house in Hawaii. He seriously was so relieved to know that if Santa could go to Hawaii, he could come here . . . snow or no snow.

Love it! I'll have to think about where we've been the past 10 Christmases. . .

Yep! Different house every year. You have proof and can even remember where you lived. That's impressive!
