The biggest of them all was Ho'o lau le'a (not sure if I spelled it right). Each of the grades performed a hawaiian dance or song. The kids worked so hard getting ready for it and were so excited to perform. They all did great!! Our camera died halfway through and I'm not sure how many pictures we got. I'll post them soon.
Matt went on a field trip with olivia last week on a historic Hawaiian trail. They got really muddy and got to see some cool things. Of course no camera. Olivia loved having Dad drive her friends in the van and they had a blast.
I went with Adam to "dolphin quest" and they got to get up close and personal with the dolphins. It was fantastic! Of course all the pictures I took of the dolphins jumping out of the water were delayed and all I ended up with are splashes! It was fun spending the day with Adam and his buddies! They are a crack up.

The kids and I are looking forward to our trip to the mainland!! We will stay the first 5 days in Oregon, make a stop in Boise, spend the weekend in SLC area with Matt's brothers families and then head to Idaho for a week with the Dawsons. Matt is going to try to come for the first few days and the kids are pretty bummed that he doesn't get to come the whole time. They sure love their daddy. They don't want him to be lonely without them. I keep assuring them he will be just fine for 2 weeks. He might even enjoy the silence but don't tell them that!
There's lots more I've missed. That's what I get for not writing as things happen! I am excited to have the kids home for the summer starting next week! Hurray! Our summer plans basically consist of beach, beach and more beach!!! Oh speaking of beach. We had fun on Saturday at the beach! we went to 69s and everyone jumped off the rocks into the ocean. It was a first for mom, dawson and olivia!! Adam ventured off to the higher rocks for the first time and loved it. It was funny because Olivia really wanted to jump but was so nervous she stood there FOREVER and finally jumped. Once she did she instantly wanted to do it again and again and again! Of course we didn't bring the camera. Bummer.
BUT... Here's some beach photos from last month that I never got around to posting.

SO cute! I can't believe you would want to leave that place to come to Utah. We are excited to see you though! I can't believe they got to see the dolfins so close up. That is great. Well, have a good week. Hope packing goes well.
What a sweet life! I'm so excited to see you and your crew in a few weeks! And, I'm extremely jealous of Adam getting to play with the dolphins. That is awesome!
It looks like you have been busy. It's so beautiful there. I wish we had a beach to play at everyday. Summer started for us yesterday and I am already wondering what we are going to do for 3 months!
Reading your blog makes me want to move somewhere tropical and live there forever! It sounds like so much fun. I'm just like Olivia and jumping off rocks-- it takes me FOREVER! Even with the short ones-- it's quite ridiculous.
Ooooh! You have exciting field trips in Hawaii! I think that trumps Mack Park any day. Have a super trip back here. If you need a bathroom break or a meal on your way from SLC to Idaho (and an hour or more detour to come through the canyon,) we will be your happy hosts! Take care and travel safely and enjoy a bit of beach for us. :o)
Man, I am always so jealous when I see your awesome pics on the beach! I love the dolphin stuff too. I wish so much that we could come and see you. I am trying to convince Tom that we should save for a trip there next fall. I might actually lose weight then!!! (yea right!) Can't wait to see you guys!!
You guys are just living the life over there!! Sounds so fun and the kids are all so cute. We're excited to see you guys soon!!!!
