"My Dad" By Isaac Blackburn

I love my Dad! He's the best! He's fun, funny, loving, nice and a great artist. If he drew something and showed it to you, you would think it came off a computer.

My Dad has flown a plane and is trying to get his pilots licence. He was also on a basketball team and can walk on his hands across the jym. He has managed a hotel so we got hotel rooms and didn't have to pay as much money. He also speaks, understands, and reads Japanese too. One time, he went skoobadiving in a pool filled with fish and other sea creatures.

The rest of the family went on a trip and Dad and I stayed home and did really fun stuff, like go to the store and watched movies. I really liked it being just me and my Dad for a while.

I love my Dad. He helps me with anything I need and is lots of fun. He always plays with me. I love my Dad.

*Note* I just found this in our packing, it was a school assignment this year to write a descriptive essay. When he brought it home he told me, "I chose to write about Dad instead of you because you haven't done as much stuff" It was cute. He's right I haven't done as much Cool stuff as Matt. Matt is truly an amazing Father.

I've been thinking about you all day. I don't know if you remember Brittney from our ward and you could have been married by this time...but I serve on activities committee with her mother in law and didn't know it. She came to our Super Saturday today and I got to talk to her a bit. She was just visiting from down in Draper area, but had run into Bishop Thomas. Anyway...he had just found out where they would be going on their mission...YES!! You heard me right. I had not idea this was all in the works...so I talked to him today at the USU football team...and I thought about you again, because we beat Hawaii. :-D He will be leaving for Norway in January. He's 'almost' over the shock of it all. I told Susan to just knock him out and put him on the plane. I'll keep you posted on what I hear.

That is great. I love the "you would think it came off a computer" part. I love how kids say things.

Nate is definitely the fun/cool/done lots of stuff parent in this house. He juggled for our Primary class last week (we had to show a talent) and the kids where SO impressed. I'm nowhere near that cool!
