Today was Adam's Baptism. It was a great day! Here's the kids ready for church.

Adam's baptism was right after church. We had heard that the ward was really great about attending/supporting baptisms...but WOW! We had a full house. It was really neat to see our ward family stay after church (most of them didn't even know there was a baptism until it was announced in Sacrament meeting) to watch Adam be baptized and to participate with the program. The spirit was really strong, it was truly amazing. While we were waiting for him to change and come in for the confirmation the primary kids were singing a baptism song and when he walked in, quite a few people got up to give him lei's...he probably got 9 or 10. I love the Hawaiian culture. That was something we weren't expecting. He looks so handsome with all his flowers!

We are sure proud of Adam and his decision to be baptized. He has really looked forward to today for quite some time. He was excited to be able to be baptized in Hawaii with our new ward. Adam sure is a big grown up kid and we love him lot!

That is awesome. He will certainly remember his baptism day forever.
Congratulations Adam!
What a neat ward! And to get 10 leis. Wow! Adam is blessed!
Congrats to Adam! That is so cool how everyone stayed and the lei's are awesome!
Scott said the day he left to come home from his mission, the members say a song to him and covered him in lei's. He still gets really teary when he talks about it...pretty awesome culture and the Blackburns are going to fit in perfect!
