Powdered Milk Mm mmm good
With milk costing over 5$ a gallon here in Hawaii we warned the kids before we came that their cereal eating/milk drinking days were coming to an end. We got them excited about oatmeal and cream of wheat and pancakes instead. On my first shopping trip to Costco I picked up some powdered milk so I could keep some mixed up in the fridge for cooking. Well the other night I mixed some up and put it in the fridge over night. The next morning I asked who wanted a glass of milk with their breakfast and they were shocked that they could have milk. Isaac was especially excited. I didn't tell them it wasn't real milk and just waited for their reacation... They LOVED It! They didn't even noticed it wasn't "real milk" when I told them it was powdered milk I had mixed up they couldn't believe it and thought it tasted exactly like the other. Matt even agreed that there really wasn't much difference. This morning I finally gave it a try and I am enjoying a bowl of cheerios! Yum yum!! It really tastes great. So give it a shot...Go mix up a gallon or two of powdered milk!

I'm thinking powdered milk has come a long way since I was a kid. I remember drinking it and HATING it. We've put our own restrictions on milk in this house . . . only on cereal and at dinner time. My girls could honestly live on milk alone if we let them. It eats up a lot of the food budget.
Woo Hoo!!! You made it!! I am soooo happy for you all! It looks so beautiful! I am so glad you made it safe and sound. Keep swimming and snorkeling and having fun. The house looks great but he flowers got a little droopy. I have watered them a lot (hopefully not over-watered them) and I will go inside tmw and check on the temp. It has all of a sudden gotten pretty warm here! Have a wonderful time and move back to Cache Valley soon. :) Aloha! Jodi
