Adam turned 8 years old on June 15th. Adam was a sick little boy but he enjoyed his day as much as he could. He opened presents first thing in the morning. While we were sitting down at the table watching him all of the sudden there was a HUGE explosion in the kitchen! I was starting to fix some Jello for his B-day dinner and I had a pot of water getting ready to boil and the glass pan with the jello powder waiting sitting next to the pot on the stove. OOPS I turned on the wrong burner and while we were opening presents the glass pan was getting Hotter and Hotter until finally it exploded into a million tiny pieces. luckily we all were across the room at the table and nobody got hit by flying glass.
The Jellow powder was burned on the burner and we've been smelling a hint of burned Jello every time we turn on the stove. (reminds me of the hard boiled egg incident in Logan years ago). In case my dad is reading this, the stove isn't labeled which burner is which but I was certain I had figured it out the day before...now I know for certain which knob is which!
Adam slept most of the evening and so we had his birthday cake (pineapple upside down cake) in his bed. He sure thought that was special. The cake woke him up enough to end the night with a wild game of "Clue". He is excited to be 8 years old and is looking forward to his baptism. It will most likely be next Sunday June 29th...You are all invited!

Okay, so I had just told Nate the boiled egg story and then read "reminds me of the hard boiled egg incident." I guess I wasn't the only one who saw the parallel. I'm glad that no one got hurt.
We are so coming for Adam's baptism. Do you want me to bring a potato salad? :)
