Drum Roll please..... The feet belong to OLIVA B. They must have looked much larger in the picture than they really are since Adam received the most votes. Hard to tell when there is nothing to compare the size to besides tiny grains of sand!
We have had a great week in Hawaii. We have discovered Hapuna beach state park and it's definitely our favorite. It is a long stretch of white sand with fun waves. The kids are regular boogie boarders. Dawson can even catch a small wave on his own. He is not a fan of salt water though and is often accidentally swallowing or inhaling some. The other day he asked "Why DID Jesus make salt water" He's a little annoyed with it.
The kids have had fun with neighbor kids and are sure enjoying themselves...with a daily trip to the beach or pool what kid wouldn't be right?
Things with the job outlook are progressing. It seems like it takes a few weeks from the time we apply for something to get any sort of response back. I have a pending housekeeping position but am really hoping for a serving position that I interviewed for today. Matt has an interview tomorrow for a promising position so say a prayer for us! It's a position he doesn't have a lot of experience in but it would be a huge opportunity to learn it (assistant director of revenue management at the Hilton Resort). The kids start school in one month! How crazy is that?? They are going in for the mandatory TB (tuberculosis) test tomorrow and then we can get them registered.
Adam will be baptized on Sunday and we have lots of people from the ward helping out on the program. The kids feel really welcome/comfortable at church....so comfortable that Dawson talked in Primary (opening exercises). He didn't say a word last year all through preschool and not at all in primary either. We had met their primary chorister at the ward temple night when we first arrived and the kids had such a great time I think he just felt like we've known her forever. The days leading up to sunday last week he kept saying "remember we know the music teacher"! Well he freely spoke to her and asked her questions out of the blue in front of all the kids. Amazing! We feel very blessed to be here. It's been fun to be able to spend so much time as a family. That will soon change once we both start working but it has helped with the transition...It's been like a big 'ol vacation. We are all well!

Bummer. I voted for Dawson's feet. Oh well. I'm with him on the salt water. Yuck. Nate took pictures of a house with a nice pool the other day and was talking to the lady about how much it cost to build/maintain. They use salt water to cut down on the chlorine or something. He is sold on the idea. Luckily, I have 12 or 17 years to convince him otherwise.
It sounds like things are coming together in your new life. We'll say a little prayer for you on the job front.
