Health Days Parade

Saturday was the "health days" parade. All week our city has had different events associated with "Health Days". We decided to walk to the parade since it was just a few blocks from our house and the weather was beautiful. We didn't bring any thing to put candy in because I was certain there wouldn't be candy at the "health days" parade...boy was I wrong! The kids got more than their fill just with the empty pockets they could fill.

Here they are getting ready for it all. (disclaimer: these pictures were taken pre-haircut...The boys hair is all looking pretty scary in the pictures..Isaac and Adam have been begging us to not cut their hair for weeks but we finally did it today...I'll have to post another picture sometime w/ their new do's).

After the parade we met Jaime and the girls to see the "world largest horse" at IFA.

I don't know that it is really the "world's largest"...it was big but that might be an exaggerated claim. We spent the afternoon playing at the park with Jaime and the girls. The kids spend most of their time playing in the sand of the sand volleyball pit. Good practice for some good beach fun in Hawaii!

Here's some shots of them riding bikes and just hanging out earlier that day. Dawson is riding Isaac's bike...way too big for him but he did it! He was proud!

While the kids and I played all day, Matt was busy painting the exterior of the house. I will have to post some pictures once it is all done. He still needs to do the trim and then touch up. It is already looking great though. Matt is AMAZING! New windows come in a couple of weeks and then we plan to get the house on the market.

Dawson is 4 and can ride a two-wheeler?!?!? I am impressed. My kids are bike-riding delayed. I guess we should get on that.
So is Hawaii a sure thing? Do you know the details of where and when? It is good for me to have adventurous friends that I can live through vicariously while I feel safe and comfortable in my risk-free, boring life. :)
